    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

    1. What are the fees for your services?

    Our regular fees are aligned with the recommended rates set forth by the Psychological Association of Alberta. A 50 min session is $220. A double session is recommended if/when you start EMDR processing with your psychologist. Double sessions are charged at the rate of $425. Group therapy sessions are $65. Group therapy will be offered at various times throughout the year based on interest. Sign up for our email promotions to stay up to date on available group offerings, as well as special rates or discounts. Please contact us if you are interested in a psycho education workshop for yourself or your business. We can discuss needs and rates.

    2. What insurance plans do you accept?

    We can direct-bill many of the bigger insurance plans such as Blue Cross or Canada Life. If your insurance company does not allow for direct billing, we can provide you with a receipt so that you can submit it for coverage. Please be sure to consult your specific insurance plan to determine how much coverage you are entitled to. We would be happy to troubleshoot some of your questions to the best of our abilities. Our services can also be covered by WCB, NIHB, and through your Motor-vehicle accident Insurance providers. Please contact us to discuss further.

    3. How do I book an appointment?

    For your convenience, we have an online platform to book your appointments powered by Owl Practice. Please contact us if you need support in setting up your booking account.

    4. What can I expect during a free consultation?

    A free consultation can be offered to you for 20 mins either live or via telephone/video. During your consultation you can ask questions about anything from booking to services offered to therapeutic modalities offered. You can also ask about our experience and training. If in person, we would be happy to let you tour our office. Please reach out via phone or email to arrange a free consult.

    5. Where are you located?
    We are located on 6th Ave SW Calgary. Our address is Suite 888, 940 6th ave SW, Calgary AB, T2P 3T1.
    6. Do you have a cancellation policy?

    Yes. We require 48 hours notice for cancellation of any of our services. Most of our services (individual sessions, EMDR treatments, group sessions) can be accessed via video platform if you are pressed for time. We can switch your appointment from live to video if provided with an hour notice prior to your appointment. Cancellations with 48 hours notice will not cost you anything. If you cancel your session with less than 48 hours notice you will be charged at the full rate and unfortunately, insurance providers do not allow you to submit a claim for a missed appointment. We understand that life happens. Please contact us with as much notice as you can to discuss your individual case. Thank you kindly.

    7. Are your services covered if I have been in a Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA)?

    Yes, our services are covered and in Alberta, you are entitled to coverage for your psychological injury if you have incurred one following a Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) for all at fault and not at fault motor vehicle accidents. We will help you work with your insurance provider and we will arrange to provide any required letters, progress reports, and treatment plans. Please notify us at the outset of services if you are seeking psychological services following an MVA.
