ACT THERAPY
Acceptance and commitment therapy is one type of evidence-based treatment that can improve many common mental health conditions. It is considered a “third-wave” format of CBT that integrates mindfulness as well. The main intention in ACT sessions is to learn and practice lifestyle skills that enhance psychological flexibility in face of difficulties and stress.
CBT THERAPY
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is a popular type of therapy that also can improve many common mental health conditions. CBT will help you understand the relationship between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Additionally, your therapist will assist you in identifying core beliefs or schemas that are keeping you stuck in certain behavioural patterns.
EMDR THERAPY
EMDR is an evidence-based treatment protocol known for rapid results. Originally developed for the treatment of PTSD, now used to treat many other presenting concerns rooted in stress and trauma.
PROLONGED EXPOSURE THERAPY
Prolonged exposure therapy was created by Dr. Edna Foa. It is an empirically validated treatment with more than 20 years of research supporting its use. This therapy is
used to assist clients to process traumatic events and reduce trauma-related psychological symptoms.
